7 February 2022Helping young people reach their targets
I’m sure you would agree, progress is significant in improving young peoples lives?
To simplify this, Mentor have incorporated targets with progress in each of the standards of care. This will help justify targets being met and how they have been achieved with clear evidence.
Key Changes to progress tracking
- Young people are able to decide on 5 top targets they would like to work towards but also additional ones can added.
- Activities linked to progress requires an explanation whilst filling out forms, this will help explore & improve what is beneficial for each young person specifically.
- Target levels are between 1-10, these can now be adjusted through linked activities or key work sessions.
- Graphs to show progress timelines for each standard of care. This provides clear evidence when exploring how targets are being met.
- Improved evidence to Ofsted when collating reports.
One last thing….
When analysing what has helped a young person to progress, there tends not to be enough information to clarify this. We have created an overall progress tracking system were we have incorporated progress with activities which now requires an explanation when filling out the chosen form. This will provide clear evidence to support each young person when exploring what contributes to their progression, contrarily it will also highlight what areas need improvement.
